Windows defender not updating xp
Mine also included definition update for Windows Defender KB915597 but surprisingly no updates for MS Office 2007 which you correctly identified on my machine as the "Enterprise Edition" of Office 2007. & Features Installed Updates" there is only the one (KB3216755) shown.
I am surprised that the definition update for Windows Defender KB915597 is not listed here, particularly since it is listed in "Installed Updates", confusing!
It says that operating system is outdated, and even with patches, it’s not secure enough.
Windows 7 was launched in 2009, offering a reprieve from the nightmare that was Vista. Windows 7 also introduced the new taskbar, “Aero” window management, and libraries.
The same file comes in each time - same byte count and same hash - and it has the same problem when launched. Doing so worked fine for me on March 15th, 2016, but not now.

I did not say so earlier, but I have MSE version 4.4.304 running on Windows XP Home Edition with SP3, and with all official updates installed from after SP3, up until MS stopped giving updates for Windows itself during 2014.It might be that Microsoft has quietly finally stopped definition updates for MSE if we are using XP, or if we are using version 4.4.304 of MSE, which I believe is the newest MSE version which works with XP.
